hi, friend! 
my name is hope!
I'm an illustrator and designer whose work comes in all shapes and sizes! I'm based in sunny Los Angeles, California, where I live with my cat, Egg Salad, and surround myself with other incredible designers. 

Growing up as a queer and trans person, I never saw myself represented in any media, especially children's toys and media. I soon came to the realization that there are so many other people of so many other backgrounds that felt similarly. So, I decided to invite myself to the world of toy design. I know it's cheesy to say, but I'm looking to make a difference. Kids are our future! I want to make sure that more kids can see themselves, even if it's through something as small as a toy! 

I graduated Otis College of Art and Design with a BFA in Toy Design, and have worked as a product designer for companies/brands like Mattel, Jazwares, Spin Master, Disney, Gucci, Jakks Pacific, and Mana Studios.

In my mind, the world is full of whimsy, color, and joy! My work encompasses the joy of being exactly who you are, and embracing silliness, for the sake of silliness. I'm always open to working on exciting projects, or collaborations (or the next Paddington Bear movie?)
